The Night Train made its stop at Ak-Chin Pavillion Thursday night and on it, Jason Aldean, Jake Owen and opening act Thomas Rhett stepped off the train and onto the stage to thousands of screaming fans.
Rhett performed “It Goes Like This,” undoubtedly a crowd favorite, and set the mood for what was an eccentric concert experience.
Belting out the hits like “Why”, “Take a Little Ride” and “My Kinda Party” it is easy to see why the fans get so worked up when Jason takes to the stage. The country rocker warned the crowd early in the show that it was going to be a long night filled with all of his hits and an overall performance that would leave Arizona wanting more, and he did just that! Tracing back to his first album and showcasing his latest tracks Aldean encouraged everyone to sing along and embrace the night.
But as if the incredible lineup of artists wasn’t enough, the Valley was in for an even bigger surprise- Kelly Clarkson! Clarkson sang alongside Aldean for “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” although she was on a digital screen, provided an impeccable performance that brought the entire venue to their feet.
And despite Jake Owen’s finger snafu, it didn’t stop him from performing flawlessly. He got the crowd going with “The One That Got Away”, “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “Days of Gold”. With an electric set filled with light effects and an elevated platform, Owen interacted with the crowd on numerous levels shaking hands and tossing drum sticks to his audience.
The excitement continued after the concert for Jason Aldean’s After party at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Scottsdale, where Thomas Rhett and Jake Owen made appearances.
The Night Train Tour was a spectacular show filled with incredible music, popular songs and a genuine promise that Aldean will come back to The Valley next year!
