From KMLE Country Thunder
The last day of Country Thunder has come and gone and although there is a collective sigh being heard all over Florence, Arizona right now, we are okay with it because it was an AMAZING four days! We got to hang out with the biggest stars in country music, watch exclusive performances in the KMLE tent and raise our red solo cups all weekend long. Today was no different.
Former Staind member Aaron Lewis paid us a visit backstage where he talked to David Dean about his new career as a country singer. He graced the main stage and performed a set filled with his new country musics and classics from his time in the band. His new song ‘Faithful’ is climbing the charts and he sang it for an audience filled with die-hard Aaron Lewis fans.
Jerrod Niemann was next to join KMLE backstage and we had a lot of fun! After interviewing the country star, we took it to the campgrounds where Jerrod hung out with his fans that were camping out waiting for his performance. Make sure to watch his interview with Brad Booker here.
Justin Moore started his set right around sunset to a huge audience. He opened the show with ‘Guns’ and sang his other hits like ‘Til My Last Day’ and ‘If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.’ The audience sang along to every single word and he put on an awesome show! Before his performance, he stopped backstage to talk to Brittany. Make sure to watch his interview.
And last but not least, LADY A! The trio arrived Sunday night and took some time out of their busy schedules to talk to Nina D and Brad Booker prior to their performance. They talked about their newest album, Golden, and Brad described a song called ‘It Ain’t Pretty’ as the next ‘Need You Now’ which we all know is a smash hit. Before they hit the stage, Hillary, Charles and Dave played “Plead the Fifth” and answered some tough questions; check it out here.
That’s a wrap – See you at next year’s KMLE Country Thunder!
