With all the hype surrounding Valentine’s Day, you’d think everyone in the country is celebrating it.  NOPE.

–According to the National Retail Federation, only 60% of Americans plan on celebrating Valentine’s Day this year.  That makes it the SECOND LEAST POPULAR holiday, only ahead of St. Patrick’s Day at 54.2%.

–Their numbers only cover holidays we spend money on, though.  So we can safely assume both of those holidays have more people celebrating than Groundhog Day, Flag Day, Secretaries’ Day, and Talk Like a Pirate Day.

–The Christmas-Hanukkah-Kwanzaa trifecta is number one most popular, with about 93% participation.  July 4th is next, at 87.8%.  Mother’s Day is third, at 83%, Easter is fourth at 82% and Father’s Day is fifth at 77%.
