Miranda Lambert is not one to sugarcoat things. So when she was a guest on The Talk this week, the “the feisty queen of country music” (as cohost Sharon Osbourne described her) didn’t mess around with her words.
So when she was asked about her brand-new Locked and Reloaded Tour with Dierks Bentley–which kicked off just last week–she describes it as “a tour of ‘epic badassery.’” The phrase made The Talk‘s hosts and fans giggle a bit, while Miranda held onto her sly smile.
She also said that her husband, Blake Shelton, and other friends and family members better be planning “an awesome party” for her upcoming 30th. “It better be ‘badassery,’” she says.
Miranda later revealed that she will be performing during the upcoming 55th GRAMMY Awards (Feb. 10 on CBS). She will join fellow country stars Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, whose performances on the show were previously announced.
In addition to performing at the GRAMMYs, Miranda has also been nominated for Best Country Album for her most recently release Four the Record. Which, of course, she sees as a great honor.
“Albums are like my babies,” she says on The Talk, “[they're] what I put all my energy into. The GRAMMYs are so exclusive, and it’s all genres, it’s everybody voting for you, so it just means the world to have a nomination, and to get to perform.”
Miranda Lambert’s latest single is “Mama’s Broken Heart.”
