Parmalee at Denim and Diamonds
You could almost call Parmalee a family band. They consist of two brothers, Matt and Scott Thomas, who are joined by their cousin Barry, who plays bass and their friend (adopted brother :)) Josh, the lead guitarist. They are based out of the NC town Parmele, which as you can tell doesn’t quite have the same spelling in case you look it up on the map. But that’s beside the point. Let’s stick to the music! “Musta Had A Good Time” is about a party that has gotten out of control. It describes a scenario that is pretty much every day life for the band right now. In fact, when the band first got together they moved into a house together. They literally had a party ready to go every night. Of course they added a few embellishments when they wrote the song, but most of it actually happened at one time.
Here’s the official statement from the band: “I can tell you that his car wasn’t actually in the pool, but my friend did drive his truck into a small creek” Apparently the party really did get out of hand, as you can clearly see in the video. In fact, at one point, the owner of the house asked them to leave. This makes Parmalee the only band that was officially thrown out of their own music video shoot. So please check out the video when they performed a KMLE LIVE and let us know what you think.
