Anticipation continues to build for the new album from the Zac Brown Band, Uncaged, which is set for release July 10. And to get the fires burning, Zac and company have released a new single called “The Wind.”
Zac himself calls it a “barn burner,” and once you hear it, you’ll know what he means. Fueled by an upbeat tempo and featuring heaping helpings of fiddle, mandolin, and guitar, it’s got big, bold streaks of bluegrass, and it’s as clean and fresh as a country summer breeze.
Bluegrass “fits dead center for me,” Brown told CBS Detroit station WYCD in a recent interview. “It’s not as common a thing on the radio these days, but I think some of that is actually more country than stuff that’s out on the radio.”
“The Wind” is available to stream on demand right now on AOL, and for purchase as a single, but note that if you pre-order the digital version of Uncaged on iTunes, you’ll instantly receive “The Wind.” Your choice.
