Tim McGraw’s New ‘Homefront’ Program Offers 25 Free Homes To Military Veterans
With the anticipation building of Tim McGraw‘s upcoming Brothers Of The Sun tour with Kenny Chesney, the “Better Than I Used To Be” singer has decided to give back to military veterans in every city the tour hits. He’s launching HomeFront, a charity that will provide homes to military veterans.
With help from Chase, Operation Homefront, ACM Lifting Lives and The Premier Group/North Carolina Furniture Manufacturers, each house will be provided completely mortgage free.
“My sister’s a veteran of the first Gulf War. My uncle was a Vietnam veteran and my grandfather was a World War II veteran,” McGraw said in a statement.
“I’ve always felt a deep sense of respect and obligation to our troops. Being able to reward them for their dedicated work with a new home will be even more rewarding for us. It feels so good to give back to them, and to have the opportunity to entertain them on Memorial Day is something I’m honored to do.”
This past Monday on Memorial Day, McGraw performed a free, live streaming concert to kick off the program.
The house giveaways will begin June 2 when the tour kicks off in Tampa, FL. Click here to see if the Brothers of the Sun Tour is coming to a city near you.
Since its inception, Operation Homefront has given over 500,000 necessities to military families in need including homes, personal items, clothing and more. With its high rating, $.94 of every dollar goes directly to Military personnel in need.
