[photogallerylink id=50193 align=left] Today is the world premiere of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jason Aldean’[/lastfm]s new single “Dirt Road Anthem,” and you can watch it here now!

The official video for “Dirt Road Anthem” from Jason’s “My Kinda Party” CD premiered today on CMT and CMT.com.

The black and white video was shot outside of Nashville in the country. The song is not your typical country tune with Jason rapping the verses. Jason says it’s just one of the ways he’s offering something different to the fans:

”I think it’s something that even early in my career, I mean, we kinda went out and let it be known up front that this is…this is gonna be a little bit different than everything else. But, hopefully is has…has, you know, opened some doors for some of these other acts to, you know, come out and be a little, little edgier and kinda push the boundaries a little bit.”

I love this song! This is my “Anthem” and a lot of other people that are from the country. I get chills every time I hear this song. If you don’t like it you just don’t get it. Dirt road “Jeep’n” almost defined my existance and when you start growing up, have a family, and have to leave the dirt roads farther and farther behind they turn to memories. And even though they are memories, u still have to hit easy street on mud tires. (Family of four can ride in a big ‘ole Jeep) If the whole world had a dirt road anthem it would be a happier place!! I’m glad he had the guts to sing about it, but if anyone does, its Jason Aldean!!

i like this because its different and doesnt sound like anything else out there right now. that is what keeps me hooked. thanks for playing it.

I like jason a lot and the song but don’t care for the rap part. Rap is thrown in our faces on a daily basis. Country music is my escape from mainstream america. Don’t push the edge of country, keep it country.
